Designing Minds: Christian Joy
Queen of do-it-yourself fashion, designer Christian Joy knows no limitations when it comes to her creations. Christian shares her love for expressing herself through clothing and how her eye for the unique led to her partnership with Karen O., lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She recounts her journey from a small town in the Mid-west to the bustling streets of NYC where she found her niche in costume design. Always pushing the boundaries of conventional art, Christian describes her latest endeavor of melding theoretical concepts with fashion. Every detail of her imaginative design encompasses the technique and playful nature that truly makes everything she creates a joy.
